Optimized layout, natural light and comforting palette of warm neutrals transforms existing space into a therapeutic environment for national medical group to support both patients and staff

When the local CleanSlate team saw the available tenant space in Plymouth, they knew the layout would be almost the perfect fit to move their south shore outpatient treatment center to, even if some functions were missing and the aesthetics of the space left much to be desired. With some thoughtful planning, Ebbrell Architecture + Design worked with CleanSlate stakeholders to modify the design to better support the national medical group’s programmatic needs, including the addition of a phlebotomy lab, provider offices, and staff support space. The real transformation came by way of the aesthetic updates, which transformed the dated, dark space into a bright, clean, welcoming and warm environment for patients and staff.  

• Enhanced the layout of an existing tenant suite to meet the client’s patient flow and emphasize easy wayfinding with the well laid out plan
• Added new functions to the space to support the client’s specific programmatic needs with a new phlebotomy lab, provider offices and staff space
• Aligned the look and feel of the space with the client’s clean and comforting palette of warm neutrals and natural wood tones, along with maximizing natural light, to reinforce the therapeutic nature of the space
